My practice emphasizes estate planning for individuals and business clients. I have practiced law on the Eastside for twenty-nine years.

Bachelor of Arts degree, Political Science (magna cum laude) and Juris Doctor from Gonzaga University, Spokane, Washington.

Background

Engaged in estate planning as an attorney since 1976, I have emphasized estate planning, trusts and probate since 1987. I am an active speaker on such topics as "Estate Planning," "Living Trusts," "Probate," and "Durable Powers of Attorney." Some highlights of my career so far include:
- Former Treasurer of the Washington State Bar Association
- Former member of the Board of Governors, Washington State Bar Association
- Former member of the Board of Governors, Washington State Trial Lawyers Association
- Past Editor-in-Chief of the Trial News, WSTLA's newspaper
- Former Chair of the following Washington State Bar Court Committees: Court Rules, Long Range Planning, and Electronic Communications
- Former Magistrate and Judge pro tem in Bellevue District Court
- Experienced Mediator with Settlement Now
- AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell (The Martindale-Hubbell AV rating indicates very high to preeminent legal ability and very high ethical standards as established by confidential opinions from members of the Bar.)

Arbitrator in King County Superior Court Mandatory Arbitration program
Volunteer with Eastside Legal Assistance Program (named Volunteer of the Year in 1996)
Volunteer attorney in the Bellevue Legal Clinic of the King County Bar Association
Former Treasurer and former president of Kirkland Interfaith Transitions in Housing, a non-profit corporation which serves the homeless on the Eastside.
